Console Errors

If you encounter errors in the browser console:

  1. Open Chrome DevTools (F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I)
  2. Go to the Console tab
  3. Look for errors related to ScrapeStudio
  4. Report specific error messages when contacting support

Performance Issues

Slow Highlighting

If element highlighting is slow or laggy:

  • Reduce Highlight Opacity: Lower the highlight opacity in Settings
  • Simplify Border Style: Use a simpler border style (solid instead of dashed)
  • Disable Animations: Turn off animations in Settings
  • Try on Simpler Pages: Complex pages with many elements can cause performance issues

High CPU Usage

If the extension is causing high CPU usage:

  • Close Other Tabs: Reduce the number of open tabs
  • Disable Background Sync: Turn off automatic syncing in Settings
  • Update Chrome: Make sure you're using the latest version of Chrome
  • Update the Extension: Check for extension updates

Connectivity Issues

Can't Connect to Dashboard

If you can't connect to the ScrapeStudio dashboard:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Make sure you're logged in to the extension
  3. Try logging out and back in
  4. Check if the dashboard is down at status.scrapestudio.com

Sync Problems

If components aren't syncing properly:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Make sure you're logged in to the extension
  3. Try manual syncing by clicking the sync button
